BizCycle: Your roadmap and reward for being a bike-friendly workplace
Bike commuting is on the rise throughout the Puget Sound region, and this is good news for the business community. Research has proven that employees who bike to work help create a healthier and more productive workforce, reduce organizational healthcare and parking costs, and boost local economies. Meanwhile, investing in bicycling costs mere pennies on the dollar relative to other transportation modes. In short, bicycling makes for a better business and bottom line.

But the rise in bike commuting increases the need for workplaces to accommodate bicyclists - so how does one create a bike-friendly workplace? And how does your organization compare to your peers?

Cascade Bicycle Club has the answer with their recent launch of BizCycle, a two-part program designed to rate and reward workplaces for their current bike-friendly practices, while also encouraging improvements with a comprehensive technical manual outlining best practices for bike-friendly workplaces.
